Jazz at the Tangent Cafe
Tangent Cafe on Commercial drive in Vancouver regularly presents the finest jazz musicians in the city, and often incredible musicians from across the country and the world!
This intimate venue hosts cutting edge jazz performances every Thursday from 8:30pm – 11pm and every Sunday from 6pm – 8:30pm.
As well as local talent such as Brad Turner, Bill Coon, Campbell Ryga and Oliver Gannon, we also have featured internationally acclaimed players such as Michael Blake, Billy Mintz, Joel Miller and Quincy Davis.

Jeremy Wong Quartet
Up and coming vocalist Jeremy Wong leads a swinging quartet through choice standards. Jeremy’s rich voice evokes classic vocalist such as Nat King Cole and Johnny Hartman as well as modern virtuosos such as Kurt Elling.

Francois Houle Trio
Virtuosic clarinetist Francois Houle leads an improvising trio of Vancouver’s finest. Francois is always on the move, and we’re delighted to have him at Tangent.

Saul Berson Trio
With his bright playful sound, alto saxophonist Saul Berson is a Vancouver mainstay. Steeped in the bebop styles of Charlie Parker and Cannonball Adderley, his inventive improvising beautifully explores original material and jazz standards.
With Nick Peck – piano and Steve Holy – bass
Mili Hong Quartet
Drummer Mili Hong returns to Vancouver from her new home in Montreal. Her explosive drumming has made her one of the country’s favorites.
