Live music in vancouver
“To increase respect for the creative individual, to widen participation by all the processes and fulfillments of art — this is one of the fascinating challenges of these days.” John F. Kennedy
This space used to say “There is always something on!   Watch this space for listings of live music in Vancouver!”
However, these are now very challenging times. I walked through Gastown on March 17th and it was like a ghost town. St. Patrick’s Day morning with nary a hint of music, beer or green anywhere.  A sober day to be sure.
If you are venturing out to try to see something live now, more than ever, please check with the artist or the venue to ascertain if any particular gig is actually happening.
I would be very surprised to see much going on in the next few weeks but, this too, shall pass.
Stay safe out there.
There is going to be one hell of a party when this is all over.

Please be advised that, while we do our best to keep these listings functional and current,

event details may change without notice.   This is especially true now with the Coronavirus looming over us.  Please, please, please check with the venue to avoid any disappointment.

“Lean your body forward slightly to support the guitar against your chest, for the poetry of the music should resound in your heart.”
